Scylla pakt zege in het Engels

Scylla2015

On Saturday March 19th Scylla played at home in ‘De Vlinder’ against Emmen Dames 1. The first set began with Astrid, Floor, Yolenthe, Charlotte, Renske, Annie, and both liberals Hanneke and Rachelle.  The first set was close with both teams playing hard defense. Scylla secured the first point when Femkje subbed in and served the set out 25-18.

Second set began like the first with a close competition.  Emmen took advantage of Scylla’s serving and miscommunication errors and took the lead 10-16. Scylla fought back and tied up the match 24-24.  Both teams used up their time -outs in a fight to the finish but the second set went to Emmen with a close win 24-26.

The third set began with Scylla taking a two point lead and keeping it through out the set.  Emmen called time – outs at 7-8 and 12-15.  Femkje went in to serve for Renske at 24-18 and Scylla won the set 25-19.

The fourth set began with Emmen taking the lead quickly and Scylla called a timeout at 2-5 and 8-10.  When time – outs did not seem to do the trick the substitutions started next. Asha came in for Renske at 15-19, Veerle for Astrid at 16-22, Frouke for Charlie at 16-23, and Femkje for Floor at 17-23.  All of these attempts did not slow down a loss for Scylla 20-25.

Floor started the fifth set on the outside and Femkje on the right side. Scylla came out strong and aggressive.  The side switch came with Scylla leading 8-6. They continued to hold the lead 14-11 when Scylla called a timeout before they secured the victory 15-11.

Scylla’s next match will be in Amersfoort at on April 2 at 14:30 where they will take on Forza Hoogland Dames 1.
