Deens topteam zoekt (Nederlandse) trainer
“Danish elite club looking for dedicated coach to reach their full potential”
EVA is a women’s elite volleyball club located in Aarhus, Denmark. The team consists of dedicated players, who voluntarily spend all their free time in the gym and around the team. The team primarily consists of players who are either students, graduates or at the beginning of their professional careers. At the moment we have three players, playing on the national team, and six players in the initial squad.
We have the ambition of creating an environment for players to develop, have fun, work hard and play a lot of volleyball. Besides the EVA players the team will be working with three or four players from lower ranking teams. These are considered Academy players and will be participating in one or two practices during the week with the elite team. This is done in order to create a more fluid transition from division player to elite player. The future coach will be involved with this exchange across the different teams in the club.
EVA is a part of a collaboration with Aarhus Studenternes Volley (ASV). However, EVA functions as an independent club but will in this season work to make the collaboration between the two clubs even stronger. This is why we need a competent and determined coach who will have the honor of guiding this process. He/she will of course have a strong management team to support this task.
What are we looking for in a coach?
We are looking for at coach who will bring the right ambitions for the team. EVA is currently not exclusively looking for championships and higher rankings in the national league. We are however eager to develop the right environment for young girls to come and explore their volleyball skills, which on the long run will get us closer to championships etc..
This means dedication, motivation and structure from a future coach. You will not need to have years of experience from a similar position. Maybe you are in the beginning of your own career as a coach. You will however need to have a very strong idea about how you wish to manage a team at elite level both now and on a future scale as well.
The working task consists of four-five weekly practices. Some weeks it will be possible to arrange voluntary practices. Games every week during the season, which runs from September to the end of April. Preparation of video and tactical presentations will be important as well.
The coach will be provided with a monthly salary and an apartment to stay in. Depending on the candidate it will be possible to work out different solutions to suit individual needs.
So, if you are looking for an opportunity to go coach abroad and develop your own skills as a coach, EVA would be the place to do so. Has this caught your attention please contact sports manager Ben Eshel at (+45) 53 95 97 86 or beneshel4@gmail.com for further information.
