Donitas Ladies III went down 0-4

VoV, 02/06/2017. 6:30 AM. With high hopes and big dreams of beating the greens, we begun well. A great warm up and determination made the first set tight. Point for point, we battled it out, things all swung slightly in the Veracles favour leaving us behind 20-25 in the first set. 

We took to the court in the second set with resilient and hopeful mentality. With substitutions early on, to both steady the pass and beat the block, we tried to close the gap between veracles and us. Again, we fell just short with a score of 18-25. 

Feeling slightly defeated from the second set, the third was going to be tough. Unable to scramble a pass together to enable an attack, their consistency provided a convincing win in the third. Leaving the beautiful blue and yellow 10-25 behind. 

The final set of the evening was a great battle. Fighting hard to defend the Donitas spirit, it was all or nothing. Long rallies, tactical play and intense defence, the fourth and final set of the evening was the closest of them all. Unfortunately, our unforced errors and their consistent play presidented the game giving them the win. We went down 23-25.
