Oproep voor deelname aan internationaal toernooi

VoV, 03-10-2019. 6:03 uur. Wij ontvingen een mailtje met het vraag of er in Nederland nog eindejaarstoernooien waren, die nog op zoek zijn naar deelnemers van over de landsgrenzen. We kunnen uit de mail niet opmaken welk niveau het betreft maar gesproken wordt over een University en een College team uit Canada. Voor degene die interesse hebben verwijzen we naar de onvertaalde Engelse versie van het verzoek zoals onderstaand opgenomen, alsmede het mailadres van de afzender.

“ My name is Brian Leidl and we help in sending teams around the world to participate in international events. We have been sending volleyball teams to the KVT tournament for the past four years.

We were shocked to hear that the tournament is not running on December 27, 28 and 29. We are looking for an alternative solution. Currently we have 2 high level men’s volleyball teams that are travelling to participate internationally and have already purchased plane tickets for the above dates. The first is Nipissing University and second is Humber College.
Is there a chance that you could connect me with anyone that may be interested in running a tournament for high level men’s teams at this time?

Can you send me the contact information of anyone that would be interested in helping set up play for these very good Canadian teams?
As stated, these teams committed to this tournament almost a year ago as that is how long that it takes them to fund raise. I understand your position and disappointment and fully realize more help was required to run such a tournament, however, these kids have been looking forward to this for more than a year.
